Welcome!  Writing had always been something I wished to do, and for too many years that was all I did . . . wish. All the wishing in the world will not make dreams come true. It wasn’t until I set aside time to write that I actually filled a file with stories and inspirational pieces.

The day came when it was time to submit my pieces to magazines. I submitted continually and was rejected constantly. Then slowly, one publication at a time, my work was accepted. Now my work appears regularly in magazines, e-zines, and anthologies.

I spend the first hour of each morning reading the Bible, devotional stories, and in quiet company with God. Most of my ideas come from this meditative time.

After I complete a story, I do a market research to find an appropriate publication. I send the story “out into the world” with the prayer that it will find the right home.

Pray, listen, write, and submit: these are the four steps that have lead to all my publications.

I took this photograph while on an Alaskan cruise in the summer of 2005. The colored beams you see on the  right side of the picture above the ice berg are a phenomenon known as “God’s Rays.”  Talk about an inspiration to write!
